Burlesque is back!
Though The Rebelles aren't above using their curves to seduce skeptics, says Christine DiBenedetto, founder of the local troupe, "what attracted me to burlesque is the way it buffoons popular culture, politics, sex – topics and issues that are taboo."

Joining a national movement, The Rebelles are determined to reclaim the striptease as a form of empowerment. Echoing the group's goal, member Alita Loca warns: "I always complete my mission."
